Important Information About Your Water Bill

Beginning October 1, 2021, Beaumont-Cherry Valley Water District (BCVWD) customers will see an update to the pass-through Power Charge from Southern California Edison (SCE) on their water bills.

The change reflects the increased cost of electricity required to pump water. BCVWD does not control the amount of this charge.

The new rates are as follows:

At BCVWD, we are committed to providing safe, reliable water in a cost-effective manner, while also protecting water resources and public health. BCVWD is required by state law to charge only the actual cost of providing water service and is not legally allowed to make a profit.

Pass-through charges are fees paid to a third-party service provider that are passed directly on to the customer. As costs fluctuate, so do the charges. BCVWD does not determine pass-through charge amounts.

Have a question? Our customer service team is here to help. Learn more about how to read your water bill at bcvwd.org/how-to-read-your-water-bill or contact us at info@bcvwd.org or 951-845-9581.

“One of the best aspects of low-water plants is enjoying the natural beauty they attract,” said Treasurer David Hoffman, on behalf of the Board of Directors. “You get to enjoy these beautiful creatures when they come to visit and conserve water at the same time.”

Reduce your outdoor water use in honor of Smart Irrigation Month!

Check sprinklers for leaks and overspray, install drip irrigation to water the roots of plants and consider using a weather-based irrigation controller. Find more outdoor conservation tips at bcvwd.org/water-conservation-tips. #SmartIrrigationMonth #BCVWD

“Watering outside makes up the majority of water use in homes,” said President Daniel Slawson, on behalf of the Board of Directors. “You can lower your water bill and help conservation efforts by making a few simple adjustments outdoors.”
