Evacuation Order Now in Effect!

Evacuation orders and warnings have been issued for residents of Apple Fire and El Dorado Fire burn scar zones, due to an incoming storm. Go to https://rivcoready.org/ActiveEvents for details and to view the evacuation zones. If you need assistance evacuating, call 2-1-1.

Community members should take the risk of flooding, mudslides and debris flow seriously. Evacuation terms include:

  • Evacuation Warning: Potential threat to life and/or property. Those who require additional time to evacuate, and those with pets and livestock should leave now.
  • Evacuation Order: Immediate threat to life. This is a lawful order to leave now. The area is lawfully closed to public access.

The Apple and El Dorado fires burned more than 50,000 acres this fire season, leaving burn scars that prevent soil from absorbing rain. This could cause water, mud, downed trees and other debris to flow downhill and into the community. Go to https://rivcoready.org/Have-a-Plan/Storm-Ready/Apple-El-Dorado-Fire-Info to get details on how to prepare your property, including where to find sandbags.

Flooding, mudslides and debris flow can sometimes cause interruption of water service. BCVWD will activate our outage alert system if your service is impacted. You can sign up to receive water outage email notifications at https://bcvwd.org/email-notifications/ .
