Beaumont-Cherry Valley Water District (BCVWD) routinely pulls hundreds of water samples and conducts tests throughout the year to make sure your water is safe to drink. The results are published annually in our Water Quality Report. The 2019 report is now available by clicking the link below.

Providing high quality, reliable water is always top priority at BCVWD. The coronavirus pandemic will not affect water safety or supply. The water we deliver is unaffected by the virus, which is transmitted from person to person through droplets produced when an infected person talks, coughs or sneezes. If coronavirus was ever detected in the water, the treatment process would remove the virus. BCVWD continues to provide safe, reliable water service while offices remain closed to the public

At Beaumont-Cherry Valley Water District (BCVWD), the health and safety of the community and our employees is a top priority. Many parts of the state, including Riverside County, are beginning to reopen for business as the COVID-19 pandemic continuously evolves. After careful consideration, and in an abundance of caution, BCVWD’s offices will stay temporarily closed to the public.

The District’s operations remain open and your water is safe to drink and use, as always. Details for alternative means of service are below. Our customer service number is still available at (951) 845-9581. To report a water emergency, call the number and wait for the prompt to select option 9.

BCVWD is committed to its mission of providing safe, reliable water. BCVWD follows all state and federal regulations and testing that keep tap water safe to drink. There is no evidence that coronavirus transfers through drinking water. If coronavirus was ever detected in the water, the treatment process would remove the virus.

BCVWD will continue to monitor the situation and provide updates as necessary. Ongoing local outbreak updates are available from the County of Riverside at www.rivcoph.org/coronavirus. BOARD MEETINGS

All Board meetings will take place via teleconference until further notice. Information and instructions on how to participate will be provided on each meeting’s agenda, under Teleconference Notice. ALTERNATIVE WAYS TO PAY YOUR BILL

Online Payments – Payments can be made online at bcvwd.org. 

Phone Payments – You can make a payment over the phone, 24 hours a day with our automated payment system. Call the District’s main telephone line at (951) 845-9581 and select option 3. Have your account number available when making payments over the phone.

Drop Box – The District office is equipped with a drop box located at our headquarters office at 560 Magnolia Ave, Beaumont, CA. 92223. All payments dropped in the drop box are picked throughout the day, Monday – Thursday. Please be sure to include your account number and check payable to Beaumont-Cherry Valley Water District.

START/END WATER SERVICE

Call the District’s main telephone line at (951) 845-9581 and select option 2 during normal business hours.

 Special Districts Week recognizes essential services and encourages citizen engagement

Beaumont, CA — At its meeting on May 13, 2020, the Beaumont-Cherry Valley Water District (BCVWD) Board of Directors adopted a resolution that acknowledges essential local services and encourages residents to be involved in their community and civically engaged with their local government.

The resolution observes the second annual Special Districts Week, May 17-23. More than 2,000 special districts in California provide millions of people with clean drinking water, sanitation, fire protection, healthcare, transit and other indispensable public functions.

“Today’s challenges with the coronavirus pandemic have shown residents that the work special districts do is vital to maintaining public health and safety and day-to-day activities,” said BCVWD Board President John Covington. “Civic engagement in these services plays a key role in sustaining a thriving community.”

Special districts are local government entities created, funded and overseen by a community’s residents to provide specialized services and public works projects such as water treatment facilities, street lighting and airports. Residents govern them through locally elected or appointed boards.

BCVWD was formed in 1919 to provide irrigation water to local farming lands. What began as a small, privately-owned company to support development in the District’s service area evolved into a public water system that now serves a population of approximately 58,000.

Special Districts Week is expected to be established by the State Legislature this year with bi-partisan approval of Assembly Concurrent Resolution (ACR) 179. The approval has been delayed due to the impact of the COVID-19 on the legislative schedule. ACR 179 was sponsored by the California Special Districts Association (CSDA).
