Popular Fishing Derby Returns!

Looking for a fun, outdoor activity? Join the community at the Bogart Fishing Derby!

This year’s derby will take place at Bogart Regional Park, located at 9600 International Park Road in Cherry Valley. Fishing is open to children on Saturday, April 2, 2022, and adults on Sunday, April 3, 2022. The registration fee is $10 per participant and includes entrance to the park. Lunch will be provided following the children’s derby. The pond will be stocked with 1,000 pounds of trout for the event.

Awards and prizes will be given to the top three in each age division. Those fishing will need to bring their pole and bait (Power Bait only for kids’ derby).

Bogart Park features hundreds of acres of recreation area, including camping, equestrian trails, hiking, biking, fishing, and more. Beaumont-Cherry Valley Water District owns about 220 acres of land within the park, which is managed by the Beaumont-Cherry Valley Recreation and Park District.
